ABOUT

Founded by Shilbe Lim, her love for still lifes and styling inspired her to name the studio, Still Life Floral. In a still life, each element plays a part in creating a mood and telling a story. Shilbe approaches every project in the same way, be it for a bouquet or an event, selecting fresh seasonal materials with intention and a lot of thought. The result - carefully conceptualised designs that are unique and one-of-a-kind. Whilst her constant experimenting, discovering and falling in love with the many quirks of nature fuels her passion, Shilbe believes that it is equally as important to hone her technical skills to support her growth. She has since trained under Award-Winning Floral Artist Zita Elze, and attended master classes with Catherine Muller and Putnam & Putnam.

Friends of Still Life Floral are often seeking something novel, and they are never disappointed. While editorials are her passion, Shilbe also offers bespoke flower gifts and accepts a limited number of weddings every year. She occasionally conducts classes at her home studio in Hillview, where she enjoys drinking tea, designing and creating (although much less now, now that she’s got her hands full with her two beautiful children.)
